Friends and Hymns

The latest from Dad is that today was a great day for Mom! Maybe even the best so far. Mom was mouthing a lot of words (including the names of us four kids), and seemed very alert fairly frequently. Lilly and Kim went to the hospital to visit her and got to go in and see her. When Mom saw Lilly come in, she clearly mouthed Lilly's name. I'm sure Mom's glad to see friends. Kim and Lilly sang the hymn "Be Thou My Vision" for her.

The doctors seem to believe that it will take a long time, but Mom will be able to make a good recovery.

Sarah,
What a blessing for your mom to see friends, and that they could bless her by singing one of her favorite hymns. It is excitting to hear of her progress.

I'm so thankful for you efforts to keep the rest of us updated on her recovery. It is comforting to hear the latest news. It also is a great tool to be able to pray more specifically.

Bless you all,
Yvette Dickey & Family

My stepmom use to say this all the time to my Dad, "God is good all the time", and my Dad would respond back to her, "ALL the time!" This is one of those moments where you simply say, "GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!"

Sarah,

Thanks much for doing this blog and keeping us all up to date. I am so glad to read your mom is doing better -- she is a wonderful person. (I have been business associates with John and Sandy for 18 years.)

Dear Palmer family,

We just recently heard about your dear mom and have been praying continually for her. It's such an encouragement to read the updates and to see the outpouring of God's love through friends and family.
I love the promises in Psalm 20 and just claim them for your mom.

PS 20
May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.
May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.
May he give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.
We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.
Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
O Lord, save the king! Answer us when we call.

May God bless and comfort each of you.

In Christ's Love,
The Ring Family (Kevin, Gail, Chris, Ryan, Robby, Julie and Katie)

I am so greatful to hear that she is slowly pulling through. We will take it. I am praying as well as my church here in Rochester, Mn and we will continue to pray and rejoice with you as she slowly gets better.
May God bless you all so much I know this is a hard time I truely know from experience.

It so good to read good news about you, Sandy! It's been two days since I've been able to check the computer for your updates, it felt like forever. You are probably thinking that you should have taught Christopher "sign language" instead of Spanish right now, (hope that makes you smile!) It sounds as if you are communicating pretty well already. I'll bet inventive Christopher is creating codes for you as I write. We just thank God so much for the encouraging news as proof of God's continued answered prayers. I have always admired your focus and follow-through in everything you do, so I am absolutely confident in your lasting strength and courage to take on this latest challenge. Please know that I'm praying heartily for you. Hugs, Maris

John and Christopher, please let Heather know if we can provide more meals or gas contributions, etc.
Gratefully, The Sanford's
