Last night around 6 pm Mom went in for her tracheostomy. (The procedure is reversible.) I'm in Pennsylvania right now, spending Thanksgiving with my fiance and his family, but Dad called me last night to report that the doctors said the surgery went well. I'll continue posting updates whenever I hear news from Dad.

I'm a 27-year-old violinist and music teacher. I'm married to an organist who can always make me laugh. I'm a classical musician who not-so-secretly loves Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss. I'm currently getting a master's degree in violin performance.
I have a marginally disturbing obsession with yodeling. I like crafts, avocados, coupons, tart frozen yogurt, and books. I hate Calvinism. I love being a vegetarian. I have a love-hate relationship with running. I grew up in Northern California but have been transplanted to Boston's North Shore where I freelance, teach, and avoid doing the laundry in any way possible.
I have great goals for my life, like my hope of spontaneously losing ten pounds and becoming rich enough to afford a pair of For All Mankind jeans that I would suddenly look fantastic in.
Also, I want to be like Jesus, minus the facial hair.
I've been proudly blogging for
seven years so that no thought of mine, however unimportant or irrelevant, should ever go unpublished.
