Dad's still her main squeeze
Dad's latest report: Tonight, Mom was able to squeeze Dad's finger pretty hard with alternately both her right hand and her left hand when he asked her to.
These times where her eyes are open and she's communicating with us or moving are few and far between, because Mom still needs a lot of rest. She can wake up for about fifteen minutes at a time before she falls back into a deep sleep. But each day seems to bring more waking hours and more new things Mom can do.

Sarah, thanks for starting this blog, I was hoping someone would do this!!
The progress really is exciting, and I'm keeping Sandy in my prayers.
Sarah,
I'm praying for your mom. I've felt from the beginning that she would do everything she could to fight her way through this and back to all of you. It's evident through your news that she is doing just. I've particularly prayed that she will feel a deep peace from God during this time and that His strength and power would bring her full healing at the most intricate levels. I'm praying for each of you too. You're an amazing family!
Much love, Jan
Thanks for the updates, Sarah. We're all praying hard.

Dear Sarah,
Please let your family know we are praying for all of you. Since hearing about your mom last Friday, we have been so concerned. Thanks for keeping your blog up-to-date! It will be so good to have your mom home soon.
Love,
Carrie and Alan Cummins and family
God bless you and your family through this trying time. Your mom is such an amazing lady and I am convinced that she will continue to fight her way back to us until she is restored. We will keep up our prayers for her and for your family. Your dad is amazing. I saw him today and he is holding on so strong. God is surely answering our prayers for him too.
Thank you for keeping us updated here.
Love, in Him,
Sue Bauman
Thanks for the updates. We are praying for you all and all the medical staff you encounter. Our kids Emily, 6, and Isaac, 4, pray for your mom faithfully daily. They know the power of prayer to bring healing through Jesus. Already in their short lives, they've experienced God's power to heal them and others they love. We stand with you and fully trust that God is at work in your lives bringing great healing and hope!
God Bless,
The Floyd Family
Sarah - I was happy when Colleen told me about this blog...I think I've been bugging her with all my calls re:your mom's progress. Thanks for updating it regularly so we can know how to specifically pray.
I have been praying daily for all of you. The waiting is the hardest, isn't it! I love to know the outcome and have everything figured out and settled but this just isn't one of those times - like Allyn's illness...we just need to remember that God is good. He is your anchor and if it held for us (it surely did!) it will hold for you as well.
I'd love to come and visit with you all but I know that you just really need each other now and not much else. My prayers will continue.

Hi Sara, I got the latest email from Heather. I cried out to the Lord and claimed His power and His healing for Sandy. The Bible says that I can remind God, so I reminded Him that there a great many people to be reached for Christ, through Sandy. I know that everything has been sifted through His fingers, and that the Lord will use the mountain that Sandy is climbing right now will be used for her good, His glory and to reach others for Christ. We need You, Lord, to act on behalf of Sandy. AMen, Maris
Hi Sarah and Emily,
Please know we are praying for you and your family. We're rejoicing with you in the progress your mom has made already and in the generous blessings of your community, and we're showering you with prayers of special mercies and comfort as you continue in this journey.
All our love,
Todd and Jen (Harrison) Wright
If anybody has ever spent more than five minutes with John and Sandy together they see how much in love they are. They have always impressed me in this way and are such an inspiration. Our family is praying, Palmers. Much love to you all.
